SUMMER CAMP, Volunteer Community, Volunteer Experience

April Breathe Outreach Experience by Oyindamola

April Outreach happens to be my first experience with CAA but during camp, it felt like it was the second or third. Although I was unwilling to attend the outreach, I don’t regret attending. I would like to thank Blessing for always telling me about CAA and asking me to attend.

I am usually scared of social gatherings or any social interaction and it takes time for me to get comfortable with people so I was just against attending and I was waiting for something to discourage me. When I chatted with Ife to let her know that I wanted to pay, I was hoping she would say something that would just discourage me but she was so gentle and welcoming

April Outreach was a very interesting one. It is an experience I would love to repeat over and over again. I love every part of it and I would like to thank God for CAA and also thank Mr. OkikiJesu and Manager for starting something so pure.

When I came to camp on Thursday, I was weak and just tired of a lot of things and I just wanted things to sort themselves. On Friday Mr. Okiki mentioned that CAA is good for social detoxification and I remember saying in my mind that I hope it would work for me and it did a whole lot more than I expected.

The few days spent in camp taught me to take my time and appreciate life more. Things will be hard and I shouldn’t make it worse by having and keeping negative thoughts. It also taught me that large crowds and social gatherings shouldn’t be a thing of fear. Also, I benefited a lot from conversations with Kunmi, Felix(hoodlum), Juba and JoshuaMercy
I am happy I attended camp and I can’t wait for the Summer Outreach.

Thank you, CAA
Thanks to everyone

Love and Light
