My Encounter With A 3 Year Old Girl Named Success

My Encounter With A 3 Year Old Girl Named Success

My name is Blessing Akanmu and I am a volunteer for Camp Adventure Africa (CAA).

I would like to share a story of my encounter with a 3 year old girl named Success at Gayon Island, Lagos State during the Easter Outreach organized by CAA.

On the night of our arrival at the Island, I accompanied one of the team leads to the house of the Islanders to get kitchen utensils to cook dinner for all volunteers.

On getting to the kitchen, I suddenly felt someone hold my legs so tight and to my surprise, it was this little girl named Success. She was hugging me and since it wasn’t so bright, I wondered why she came to me even when she couldn’t see my face due to the lack of power supply. We could only see with our phone touch.

After that day, for the remaining 3 days I spent on the Island, Success was following me all around and calling me “My Mummy”

Success is such a pleasant child with a charming smile. She is full of good vibes, literally every volunteers’ friend.
This little girl acts and speaks in a manner beyond what you can expect from a 3 year old.

She’s a whole package. Lol

I’m happy I met her.

I believe she has so much potential and will become a great person in the future.
